Until recently the rural area of North Herefordshire, South Shropshire and West Wales had missed out on the best broadband deals being offered. BT was the sole broadband provider in the area. All other ISPs who offer broadband in the area had to buy the broadband wholesale off BT.

Recently the situation has changed and now people in Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury and Ludlow can get cheaper broadband as part of a package.

Talk Talk is now available in this area, and their latest offering is very competitive.

Their Essentials package costs £18.48 / month wish includes:

As an alternative to Talk Talk, Plusnet offer a good deal on Broadband, and offer UK based support from Sheffield.   Plusnet are a reputable company, now owned by BT and have won many awards for their broadband service over the Last four years.  Unfortunately the best Plusnet deals are not available in this area, although they still are a good choice, Especially if cheaper deals such as Talk talk’s aren’t available to you, or you do not wish to switch phone supplier.

Packages start from £12.99 / month with an introductory price of £6.49 for the first 3 months.

Customers in Ludlow can also take advantage of cheaper broadband from Orange.

Prices start from £6.50 /month + £10.50 line rental.

Eclipse Internet also have good offerings, although not as competatively priced as those above, but available to all.

Eclipse have also won several industry awards for their broadband over the last few years.
